Abandoning Cyberpunk 2077 ‘not an option’ according to CD Projekt

Despite an eventful launch due to numerous bugs, a cyber attack and an accelerated release of the game that pushed the developers to their limits, the future seems to be brightening for CD Projekt and Cyberpunk 2077. At least that's what Adam Kicinski, joint chief executive at CD Projekt predicts.

In a recent interview with Reuters media, Kicinsky states “I don’t see an option to shelve Cyberpunk 2077. We are convinced that we can bring the game to such a state that we can be proud of it and therefore successfully sell it for years to come”.

This announcement gives hope to many players who had high expectations towards the game and were disappointed by its release state. The last update made by the studio happened two weeks ago with the 1.2 patch bringing more than 500 fixes. We should expect more updates and DLC to happen this year (if the worldwide pandemic situation doesn't affect it).

Now let’s see if the studio manages to bring Cyberpunk 2077 at the same level as The Witcher 3.
