Assassin's Creed Valhalla's 'Siege Of Paris' DLC drops August 12th

It's time for Eivor and the Raven Clan to go viking against the heirs of Charlemange's empire

Francia, the largest and greatest European empire of the Viking Age, and the set-piece for Assassin's Creed Valhalla's second major expansion.

A new threat rises against Eivor and the Raven Clan, and to combat it, you'll need to raid into the very heartland of Frankish territory, to the very gates of Paris itself for the most infamous siege in Viking history.

Ubisoft has confirmed that ACV's latest expansion will be coming to PC and consoles on August 12th promising new in-depth questlines, side-missions, river raid maps, weapons, gear, and much more! There are even rumours swirling of so-called infiltration missions based on the black-box missions from AC Unity. If that's true then players can expect to find themselves returning to the franchise's roots of being given your target and then taking them out however you like.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Ubisoft has also announced a new update that lays the groundwork for The Siege of Paris. Entirely free, update 1.3.0 fixes a boat-load of bugs in both the main game and Wrath of the Druids, updates skill trees while adding 6 new skills, and introduces a new level-scaling mechanic, the details of which can be found here.

To top this all off, from July 29th - August 19th, players can participate in Sigrblot Season, the festival of summer and raiding. Offering 3 new quests, a brand-new settlement, new fight tournament mechanics, dice games, new abilities, even more gear (including one-handed swords!), and plenty of cosmetics.

ACV players are set to have their hand's full preparing for war with Francia. You'll need to have completed either the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire arcs as well as having a level two settlement in order to participate but it sounds like it'll be a raid to remember.
