Back 4 Blood introduces us its Card System through a new trailer

Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios, the creators of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise, released today a new trailer presenting the Card system that will play a major role in their new project called Back 4 Blood. You can have a sneak peek of what’s waiting for you in the trailer below:

To sum up, each B4B run will be driven by an A.I. known as the Game Director. The Game Director will work behind-the-scenes monitoring the actions, health, and choices of players. In every game it will play what they call Corruption Cards. Those maleficent cards will affect environmental conditions, adding obstacles, and unleashing special Ridden mutations.

The player will also be able to play their own cards or pick a pre-made set. Those strategic cards will give them access to a vast range of customization, as well as buffs and bonuses.

By developing this cards system, developers hope to amp up the gameplay and giving replayability to the game.

"Experience the intense 4 player co-op narrative campaign, competitive multiplayer as human or Ridden, and frenetic gameplay that keeps you in the action.”

Back 4 Blood is expected to launch on October 12th 2021 and will be available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. Pre-orders will receive a bonus Fort Hope Elite Weapon Skin Pack.
