F1 2021 Gears up for next gen debut with new trailer

Codemasters have shown off a new 'features' trailer today offering a closer look at F1 2021 ahead of its arrival next month. One of the standout new features in the game is the new 'Braking Point' narrative driven storyline. Said story will see you through a 3 season arc as one of five Formula One teams, pitting you up against the hard realities and ecstatic triumphs that come with being part of an F1 team.

During 'Breaking Point' you will start off as an F2 rookie, rising your way through the ranks to becoming an F1 legend. You'll make friends along the way, experience intense moments off and on the track and even have to contend with your antagonist, Devon Butler.

My Team will be back and include an option called 'Real-Season Start' which allows you to jump into a race as it happens during the actual real life F1 race calendar. Real world driver stats will be updated as well throughout the season to keep in check with their current form. There will also be the range of modes including online and split screen multiplayer with even a two player versus or co-op career mode.

As this is the first proper outing on next gen consoles, F1 2021 will feature visual improvements with improved tyre and body damage and quicker loading times on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S.

F1 2021 launches next month on July 16th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will feature a standard edition and a deluxe edition of which includes Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost, as well as 18,000 pit coins to use in My Team and 3 days early access.
