Fast-FPS Neon White gets a gameplay trailer
In is during the Annapurna Interactive Showcase that Ben Esposito, the creator of the wacky Donut County, presented to us some gameplay from his next title: Neon White.
Just like Donut County, Neon White is not a 'regular' video game... You play as Neon White, an assassin plucked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a shot at redemption. As a Neon, you have 10 days to purge heaven of a demonic invasion.
Apart from its beautiful visual identity, what's typical about this fast-FPS is that you'll have to play with... cards.
Each card represents a weapon that you can use as long as you keep the card with you. However, discarding a card will give you a special ability. For instance, your handgun allows you to shoot your enemies but will also give you a double-jump if you discard it.
"When to shoot and when to discard is up to you, but if you want to go fast you gonna need to discard your cards. Don't be afraid to use them, you can't take cards with you to the next level."
In Neon White, the emphasis is on speed. The adventure is divided into several levels that you will have to finish as fast as possible thanks to the right set of cards.
Neon White will launch this winter on PC and Nintendo Switch. No release date has been shared yet.
