Hotel Barcelona: Suda Goichi and Hidetaka Suehiro are still working on the project
In 2019, Suda Goichi (No More Heroes) and Hidetaka Suehiro (Deadly Premonition, The Good Life) announced that they were working together on a new project called Hotel Barcelona.
We don't know much about Hotel Barcelona apart from the fact that it is a mobile horror game inspired from the universe of Sirens with a touch of Twin Peaks. With a small budget of $1M, Hotel Barcelona would be a indie game and published by Devolver Digital.
Sadly, two years passed and we still have no extra details about the game... until today!
In an "Ask Me Anything" event on Reddit organised for the Nintendo Switch release of The Silver Case 2425, a Reddit user asked Goichi if the collaboration with SWERY65 (Hidetaka Suehiro) on Hotel Barcelona was still going to happen. Goichi answered:
"I contact SWERY65 at least once every 2 to 3 months, even during COVID, about how to make Hotel Barcelona happen. It really depends on the timing, since it gets heavily influenced on the work I'm doing at that period."
It is not much but at least the fans will be happy to hear that Hotel Barcelona is still relevant. Now let's wait a couple more years...
