Kena: Bridge of Spirits has been delayed to September 2021
Ember Lab, the team behind Kena: Bridge of Spirits, announced the decision of postponing once again the release date of the game from August 24 to September 21 2021.
While confirming the delay, the studio stated they required more time to give players the best possible experience on PS5, PS4 and PC.
“We have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Kena until September 21 to polish the game across all platforms, the team has been working extremely hard and we feel the extra time is critical to ensure the best experience possible”. said a Tweet by Ember Lab official account.
“We know many of you are eager to play and we appreciate your patience as the team continues to work on delivering the best version of Kena. Thank you for you amazing support.” It added.
Officially announced for the first time during the PlayStation 5 showcase in July 2020, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is described as a “story-driven action adventure with a stunning visual aesthetic combining exploration with fast-paced combat”.
We will play as Kena, a young spirit guide on a journey to unravel the mystery surrounding the demise of the village”. The way to do it is to “find and grow a team of charming spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment”. Founded in 2009 by brothers Josh and Mike Grier, Ember Lab was an animation studio and has not released a high-end game before.
