Konami pulls out of E3 2021

Citing timing issues, publisher Konami has pulled out of E3 this year. In a statement posted to the company's official Twitter account, Konami wished to "reassure fans" that they are deep in development on multiple projects. This comes after both a release drought for Konami, who haven't put out a major title in a few years and rampant speculation around the company either remaking its classic Metal Gear games or potentially trademarking new instalments in other long-running franchises.

Of course, E3 isn't the only place to expect announcements and, if they have anything to actually show, we can probably expect Konami to make a big show of it. For now, though, E3 will have one less publisher to show us new and shiny things.
