Necromunda: Hired Gun shows off its grimy, gritty world in new trailer

When you're talking about a game set in the Warhammer 40k universe, some grim grittiness is to be expected, but Necromunda: Hired Gun's new trailer takes it to 11 as it shows off the people and places of its crime-filled undercity, Martyrs End.

The new trailer for the game, releasing June 1st for Playstation, Xbox and PC, shows off a variety of very angry looking characters and even angrier looking guns. As a customisable bounty hunter, players will get to shoot interesting enemies and meet interesting people who hopefully won't stab them in the back.

Most importantly, Necromunda: Hired Gun also now has a robot dog, albeit a very violent one who can sniff out and kill enemies for you. Your new cyber-mastiff is just one part of what promises to be a massive armoury of weapons and upgrades to make it easier to hunt down your targets in the upcoming indie shooter.

Necromunda looks like the sort of dark, violent and gritty adventure we'd expect from a Warhammer 40k property, but at least we'll have a robot dog to pet when the violence gets overwhelming.
