Rainbow Six Vegas and Ghost Recon Future Soldier among others part of multiplayer server shutdown

Updated: Apr 15

Ubisoft have announced they will be shutting the console servers for a handful of their older Tom Clancy titles this year. The games in question for shutdown are Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 and Rainbow Six Lockdown (now that's an old one). Their servers will be shut meaning no more online play for the titles as Ubisoft want to move resources to more recent games.

Even more bad news to go with this is if you are on PC, you will be interested to know that a bunch of Ubisoft titles will be losing their online support as well with the likes of Assassins Creed 2 and Far Cry 2 amongst the casualties.

Ubisoft Connect will also cease to function with any of these titles and any unclaimed rewards will be gone. There is no current set date for these closures other than simply '2021' so I'd get jumping back into these games if you enjoyed playing online. I sure will as I'm super bummed Vegas 2's multiplayer will cease to exist as I've had so much fun playing that game online. Truly is a shame.
