Respawn is developing a new single-player adventure set in a ‘unique universe’

Respawn has confirmed it’s working on a new single-player adventure game. By an online post, creative director Mohammad Alavi said the studio is staffing up for the project.

“We’re developing a brand new singleplayer adventure from Respawn Entertainment. We’re a small, but ambitious team with a history of dreaming big and making splashes.” He wrote.

The EA studio behind Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends and Titanfall is looking for a lead technical designer, senior technical game designer, senior combat designer, and senior level designer.

The job description states: “This new single-player title is a designer’s dream playground with a freedom to innovate made possible by the unique universe it inhabits”.

Last April, Respawn confirmed a new game project, after a job advert in January stated that the studio was forming a team to work on “a brand new IP”. The title is “in its early stages” and the successful candidates will “have a direct hand in shaping a new game from the ground up”.

After the great success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, EA is looking into publishing more single-player games in the future. The success of the game is testified by the fact that the game had been “played” by over 20 million people across all platforms and subscription services, EA announced in June.

Lastly, Respawn is about to launch Apex Legends Season 10, named Emergence, on August 3. The new event will introduce new hero Seer, the Rampage LMG, an updated World’s Edge map, plus fresh ranked arenas.
