Sequel of TimeSplitters confirmed!

Back in 1999, developers from Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark teamed up to form Free Radical Design. This studio later gave birth to the iconic FPS trilogy, TimeSplitters. Over the years the studio has been bought by Crytek and finally Deep Silver, which renamed it Dambuster Studios.

Today, publisher Deep Silver announced that key original members of the Free Radical Design team, including founders Steve Ellis and David Doak, have reunited to reform Free Radical Design. Most importantly, the team is planning to bring back the dormant TimeSplitters series.

"To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible. [...] While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future.” - Steve Ellis, Studio Development Director at Free Radical Design

However, don't expect anything to come out anytime soon. The fact that Free Radical Design recently reformed means that a lot of structuration's will be made in the coming months. Then, they'll be able to start the development phase of their new title.

We're so excited to hear this huge news and can't wait for a new Timesplitters, how about you guys?
