WWII Simulation Hell Let Loose announced for PS5/Xbox Series X|S release later this year

Publisher Team 17 is planning on releasing Hell Let Loose later this year on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles later in 2021. This will come after it finishes it’s early access run on Steam. It brings 50v50 larger scale battles to consoles in which developer Black Matter describes as ‘’a simulation of war, not an arcade arena shooter.’’

The news comes via Team 17’s latest financial report stating it plans to bring the game to consoles in 2021. Hell Let Loose is a World War 2 simulation that includes some of the most pivotal and brutal battles fought in the conflict including Hill 400, Omaha Beach, The Foy, Purple Heart Lane, and five others. The game is built using Unreal Engine 4 and Black Matter have compiled data from satellite and archival aerial photography to recreate the battlefields to the truest form possible.

Hell Let Loose features 50v50 large scale battles and is a resource based war simulation where teams strategically plan how to best defeat the enemy. This includes working as a team to set up supply lines, flank the enemy and reinforce strategic positions. Teamwork really is key to winning and communication will be vital in succeeding during battles.

The game currently has 14 roles available to play as and they range from Officer and Commander to infantry roles such as Rifleman, Support and Medic. Each role will have their own weapons and items suited to their class. The game will include the iconic weaponry used and feature several vehicles to command such as Sherman and Panzer tanks to trucks and recon vehicles.

Hell Let Loose is slated for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles later this year. When a solid release date is confirmed we’ll update you as soon as we know.
